About PCBA

The Paulding County Beekeeper Association began in 2013 with a group of beginning beekeepers seeking knowledge about care for the honey bees.   The club gained an unexpected amount of interest.  The initial meeting location was quickly out-grown and the group began meeting at the Dallas Primitive Baptist Church. 

Monthly meetings focus on various aspects of beekeeping, though speakers tend to emphasize what beekeepers should be doing during the current season, whether it be splitting hives, harvesting honey, or treating for varroa mites. Beekeeping in the twenty-first century can be tricky, and with the possible arrival of more exotic pests that trouble honey bees it might become even tricker!

Periodically PCBA sponsors a bee college, a one-day conference devoted to classes on a variety of topics, ranging from beginner to advanced. In addition, the club hosts a holiday party in December for members and their entire families. 

So come join us as we learn together how to support and manage our colonies of bees!
